Abstract
In this presentation, I review research on the following related topics: (1) the enhanced nonlinear optical response of composite materials (metamaterials) for both all-dielectric and plasmonic structures; (2) the unusually large nonlinear optical response of transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) when used near the wavelength where the dielectric permittivity vanishes (the ENZ condition); and (3) the nonlinear photonic properties of plasmonic and dielectric metasurfaces.
