Abstract

By treating machine vision and imaging tasks as quantum sensing, we design and train optical neural networks to implement a measurement that extracts information from the incoming light in the most efficient way permitted by quantum mechanics. Applications include quantum ensemble discrimination, object detection and superresolved regression.
