Visa Application

You can read an official guide to Japanese visas.

Please see this table to check if you have to get a Japanese visa or not. Any nationality that is NOT in the table needs a visa.

In case you need a visa to enter Japan, the conference secretaries will provide an official invitation documents to obtain the entry visa. Please note that it takes more than two weeks to get a Japanese visa after applying at the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your country.

 

Procedure for obtaining a visa

Download the Visa Application Form in RTF format (6 Kb).

Fill in and return the Visa Application Form to the Conference Secretary by e-mail or airmail or fax no later than May 5, 2005:

Documents required for visa application will be sent to you by express mail.

Submit a visa application to an embassy consular office by yourself.

A visa will be issued in about a half-a-month.

A printed form is strongly suggested since a handwritten form often leads to mistakes in the paper work.

Your name and date of birth have to be the same as ones written in your passport.

If your companion needs a Japanese visa, you have to also send her/his visa application form to us. In this case, relationship between her/him and you must be written in "Memorandum" of the visa application form.
