Studies of Cold Trapped Atoms are now an important and rapidly growing field of physics around the world. The subject has brought together physicists from atomic, molecular, and optical physics, from laser physics and condensed matter physics, from nuclear physics and mathematical physics. This cross-fertilization gives us new insight into the basic properties of matter. The variety of Bose and Fermi systems, newly available in the laboratory, are accessible to first principal theories, making these systems a superb experimental test ground for different parts of many-body physics. The special issue on Physics of Cold Trapped Atoms aims at representing this rich field, covering both experiment and theory, and considering Bose as well as Fermi systems. Researchers in the field are invited to submit their original and review articles. There is no formal restriction on the manuscript length, provided that the latter is appropriate for the content. All papers will be refereed. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the style accepted in the journal Laser Physics. Instructions for authors can be found on the website www.lasphys.com Submission deadline is September 1, 2008. Contributions should be send to one of the following Special Issue Editors:
